Hey, I've actually started this before midnight...Whooppeeee!
It's hard to embrace all this new technology when it just keeps setting me back.
Before I got started with today's plan, I snuck into DG.com to answer any PMs and get my mail. Was that a mistake? you decide....
Todays plans were to work on my computer getting my letter and mailing list done. An electrical storm killed that idea. It was right overhead and knocked out the power. I never saw it coming. So I couldn't correct my letter, correct my mail merge, get the names to my list so I could just handwrite the envelopes, nothing. I couldn't even shift gears and watch more of the Edge training disks, clean my office (it's too dark in there with no lights), reread any of Dean's books, nothing. I hate that I've become so dependant on technology to make my living. But that's the way of the world and I have to adapt.
Thankfully, the electric came back on about an hour before tonight's call with Carol Stinson so at least the whole day wasn't a waste. I did get to learn something. I did try (and succeeded) to beat the system regarding the phone calls. I called in AND listened online at the same time. This turned out to be a good thing because about 10 minutes before the lesson was over, I got knocked off the call and was able to listen to the end online. Because of the time delay, I didn't miss a thing. Man outsmarts machine this time!
So that's my story and I'm sticking with it
Till tomorrow....
