Days 87-94

To quote Steven Tyler from Aerosmith, "I"M BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN!!!" Hope y'all got along fine without my daily blabberings Laughing out loud

To say this past week has been a blur is an understatement. You'll see why I had to put RE on the back burner.
Sat & Sunday: It took approx. 45 hours to package my order. I did that over the course of just 2 days. (Do the math Eye-wink )Before making the 3 1/2 hour trip to Miami, I could only take a 1 hour 30 minute "nap". I finally returned home about 22 hours after I left. That's a 450 mile round trip on 90 minutes of sleep after only getting 3 hours of sleep in 48 hours! There was no time to nap while in Miami. Wired on caffeine, I finally fell asleep about 3 hours after getting home. That was Monday.
Tuesday I had to catch up on things like grocery shopping and banking. Also had phone calls to make.

Wednesday, I caught up on some paperwork and then headed over to Tampa where I was meeting my biz partner and a fellow DGer for dinner and to attend the Tampa REIA meeting. (Another 150 miles round trip.) On my way to Tampa, I was on the phone talking to a fellow DGer from up North about a potential property he may be interested in having me find for him.
During this whole past week or so, I have been checking in on my bookmarked threads, PMs and emails and posting some things. I just haven't had the energy to write my blog.
That brings me up to today, Thursday. Today was a momentous day! All of my previous efforts to get myself connected to other investors may have finally paid off. Through a connection outside of our DG family, I may have found the 6 houses for fellow DGer Michael Mangham. I was on the phone most of the day and some of my trip to Tampa yesterday making the arrangements. 1 seller, 6 houses, all within the parameters of the buyer. That's how you do it. You learn what the buyer wants and then you go find it. NOT the other way around. It hasn't bothered me that I haven't closed a deal yet because the results I am getting from my leads just don't fit my buyer's requests. Whose fault is that? Nobodies! That's just the way it goes. I just need to rethink my attack plans or find a way to better way to attract the right sellers. But I digress...
I also got word today of a number of properties available in the Tampa area that might fit my dinner companion's buyer's list. I spoke with him today about it and we will be working on a deal in the coming days. So you see, networking is VITAL to our success as RE Investors.
So the excitement is rolling in and I am contemplating a trip out West to pick up my check from Michael. Guess I'll need to unpack my thermal underware soon. Eye-wink Oh CRAP! I just remembered, I live in FLORIDA! I don't have thermal underware anymore!!!!!! (Hey, it's late and I'm getting giddy Laughing out loud )

I haven't made up my mind yet as to whether this is still going to be a daily entry or switch it to a weekly one. Truthfully, I just can't remember every detail that I do over the course of a week so how does that help my fellow DGers reading this? That was some of the purpose of doing this, helping others see what it takes to succeed. Anyway, in case I haven't just talked myself out of doing a weekly entry, don't be alarmed if you don't hear from me for a couple of days Smiling

Till next time....
