Godfrey & Sharon's Journey To Becoming A RE Millionaire

Let me start off by introducing ourselves. My name is Godfrey, and my wife's name is Sharon ( If its not obvious by the title ) We live in a very small town in Mid to Southern Wisconsin. We both have to work to pay our bills only to find ourselves getting further and further behind.

About 6 years ago we had seriously thought about becoming real estate investors. We had purchased a "kit" from an infomercial and were very excited about it. Well the kit came and we started reading the material and found we were both lost and confused with how complicated it all seemed. After a few weeks, we gave up, feeling that we were not able to do this.

Throughout the years, the conversation would occasionally turn to Real Estate Investment and how we wished that we would have pursued it harder. A couple of more years pass and we have a Foreclosure market that is saturated with houses for sale. This sparked our interest again, and this time we told each other that neither one of us would let the other slip and give up.

Sitting up late one night ( worrying about bills ) I happened to catch one of DG's shows on TV. The way he presented himself and the stories of success made me feel that my wife and I could or should I say "would" have the same success if/"when" we applied ourselves.

We did some research online about DG and came across this site. We felt that the foreclosure market was our best niche and ordered DG's AFF yesterday. We completed the 7 online steps for that course and now await the arrival of the printed/recorded material.

After completion of the online steps, we thought we would do a little more research and read some of the forums, journals and watch some of the video clips here on this site. We started doing this at approximately 6 pm. What seemed only like a short time ended up being over 6 hours!

12 a.m. rolls around and I try to sleep. Unable to sleep, I get back up and start doing more research online about everything from LLC's to foreclosures in my area. ( Takes me awhile to research do to my lack of knowing a lot of the RE jargon and acronyms.

We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of DG's information so we may start as soon as possible!

So after writing a novel, here is how my day went:

1:00 - 1:30 p.m. - Ordered AFF
1:45 - 3:30 p.m. - Went through the 7 online steps
3:45 - 4:30 p.m. - Setup AFF website / company name
4:45 - 5:45 p.m. - Posted ad on craiglist / setup company email address
6:00 - 11:45 p.m. - Surfed DG.com reading posts etc..

12:30 - 2:00 a.m. - Surfed DG.com reading posts etc..
2:00 - 4:30 a.m. - Slept
5:00 - 8:30 a.m. - Did more online research on foreclosures in the area. Used a link someone posted to realtytrac and found 2 pre-foreclosures within 2 blocks of us and 1 property that was up for auction that we can see from our front porch.

Goals for Today:
- finish unpacking ( we just moved )
- clean previous property we rented ( we need our full security deposit back )
- find more information on the 3 properties I found near us
- possibly contact the owners of the pre-foreclosures ( depending on the info I find out about them )
- read / research more info on real estate
