I heard on the conference call last night about searching a property you are interested in that you may get the name of the lender the seller has a mortgage on the property. HOw do we get that information? Thanks.
When you build your Network i.e. Your Realtor, contractor etc. your Realtor can assist you by running a property profile where the information on the property is disclosed.
all you have to do is either have a title company do a present owner search or look it up yourself by going on-line on the countys web site (the county the propertys in) and check the "lis pendens", if it's a foreclosure, or look under the public records. YOUR HERO, SULLY.
IT's not a foreclosure. You said "look under the public records". Are these public records also in the county's website? Or is that something I'd go to the courthouse for. By the way, if I go to the tax assesors office to find the owners name, how do I go about that? Just say "Im looking for the name on this property? I recall something anita said about a website on the conference call last night that lists this, but I dont know if that is only for forclosures.
you can go to the court house, or look on line, if your county is up and running on line, which most are.#2:TAX ROLL: look @ the TAX ROLLs @ your county assessors office to find what the assessed value is, and when the property sold last & for how much, you will also find out what the TAXES are per year. SULLY.
it's available either @ the countys property appraisers office or assessors office, sorry about that.
PROPERTY TAX ROLL: lists every parcel of land in a given county, each parcel is assigned a seperate TAX ID#, it will be called either a assessors parcel# or appraisers folio#, CLASS DISMISSED, SULLY.
went to the tax office to get the name of the property owner, then she told me to go to the register of deeds to get the mortgage info. There is a computer where you type in the name of the property owner and any mortgage information comes up.
I'm new and I think I might have a great deal on my hands. My neighbors abandoned their home. Lawn is in shambles and the moving truck pulled out on sunday with no real estate sign on the front lawn. I can't get a hold of them. I've looked in tax roll and nothing. How else can I find the info. Thank you....
If the property was owned by the residence, they may be going thru a foreclosure. You can go to your county courthouse, usually the Recorders or Clerk of the Court, and enter the address on the public computer. You can normally see anything that's attached to the property, 1 mortgage, 2nd mortgage, bankruptsy, foreclosure, etc. If you're not that familiar, you can also call a title company in your area and ask them to pull up the address to see the status of the property. Hope this helps
