can a new warehouse being built effect the local market?

If the warehouse is bringing

If the warehouse is bringing significant jobs (not a handful, but a lot), then it can have a positive effect. If it is close to a residential area where you will hear tractor trailers making a bunch of noise, loading/unloading and such, then it may be undesirable, especially if it becomes part of the view.

So the answer to your question is....

can the warehouse affect the market? Yes and No - there are too many variables here to discuss. It will depend on the area, the type of warehouse etc. It can be a positive and/or negative but yes - any type of structure can affect the local market.
