Bankruptcy and LLC

Bankruptcy and LLC

Ok. Say your up to your neck in personal debt and there is no way to get out of it except by filing for bankruptcy. Can you go ahead (before you even file yet) and start up an LLC and start building you business credit even though your personal credit is beyond repair?

Hmmmm, I don't see why not. Actually it's probably a good idea to put anything in it you want protected. Although I'm not a lawyer, it's just my opinion, from what I understand about LLCs. Sorry to hear about the bankruptcy. Are you sure this is your only option? You can always pm me! Eye-wink

God bless you,

Hi. No, the bankruptcy is not for me. My credit is actually better than ever, as I had paid all my credit card balances down to zero. Along with no other outstanding loans etc...I was just asking in general. I will pm you. Thank you.

Ummmm

Actually Andre, the crazy thing I've learned about paying down your cards is to keep a small balance, not pay them to zero. I know it sounds obsurd but it's true! Just thought you'd want to know that. Anyway, read my pm for more interesting stuff. Eye-wink

Your friend,

Elena

Yes you are right. I do use and pay off in full every month. I try and make sure they get used to show activity. Good point.

actually keeping a 0 balance....

will stop you from fully reaching your scores potential, meaning, instead of paying your credit card bills off completely, keep @ least 3%-5% on the cards @ all times, i know that may not make perfect sense, cause i thought that too, but it's TRUE.

wow

i always thought the ideal position was zero balance.i actually get a sense of accomplishment from paying cards all the way down.guess it is a false sense.thanks for the info......never again!!!!!

Yeah, I know...

It doesn't make sense to us, but that's what gives you a better credit score if you keep a balance on your cards and don't pay them down to zero. So always keep a revolving balance on your cards. Eye-wink

Back to Bankruptcy...

If I have already been through a bankruptcy, can I still establish an LLC?

Keep a Credit Card Balance?

The country's premiere financial advisor, Suze Orman, repeatedly gives tips on improving your credit score, and she always recommends using the cards (activity is good). But she also says to always pay the balance OFF every month, if you are able to.

That's what we've done for decades, and we're in the top level of credit scores.

Credit

I think rather there is a small balance or you pay them off, good credit is good credit. the problem occures when you have used more than half of the credit line. That will lower your score because you are now risk. My credit has always been high, rather there is a small balance or I have paid them off. On the good credit lines be sure to leave them without cancelling them out. Bad debt that is 7 years old, except for Bankruptcy and Foreclosure, I would close those accounts.
