First REI association meeting.

First REI association meeting.

I'm atending my first REI meeting tomorrow night. The meeting is about Buying REO's, Short sales, Auctions and Expert agent advice. I hope too meet some new investores in my area.

Hope it is worth the $100.00 a year member fee.

I can bring a friend also if any one is around the louisville Ky, area for and additional $20.00. Just let me know.

Thanks Frank,

Good job taking action. Do you have any business cards made up yet? If you dont its not the end of the world, but meet as many people as you can, .Introduce yourself and ask them if they have a card you could get . Going to these meetings are a valuable tool, in your tool belt. Good luck, and its $119 a year here in Charlotte, so its well worth it.

Take care

$100 annual fee

Where else can you get such great networking & resources for only ~$8.33 a month (for $100/yr)?

Great Job

all the ones in my area have shuttered, so only way to attend one without driving 3 hrs is to start a new one. Surely there are others already investing or interested in investing. :? Puzzled

Thinking out of the box

I'd venture to say that your average re investor gets into a groove of doing the same thing over and over again, just like at a job. If that's the case, I'm sure most of them are of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" type of mentality. So they see no need in forming or keeping up a REIC.
We only have one in our county and it's primarily for landlords, which I'm in the process of getting my membership approved anyways. UPDATE: ACCEPTED Cool
I saw mentioned in another thread quite a while ago that there are usually gatherings of contractors, plumbers and other trades in which you can perhaps attend as a guest and network there too.

Too all

This one looks pretty well thought out. You all can check out the website at kreia.com and tell me what you think. Its actually at a pretty nice country club. Meals and drinks included.

U of L Game

What a bad time for a meeting. U of L played last night and they sent out an e-mail blast that no one was going to be there for the meeting.

Not that big of a deal. I will get ready for the next one.

Frank,
