OfflineI have a question. I have a house that I am looking at but my agent or I cant find any comps for the house. He did say that the house should be worth what they are asking for. So should I use the asking price as my base line to start from?
P.s. has anyone used the site findcompsnow.com? Does anyone know how reliable it is?

Have you looked in Zillow, it should have list of SOLD properties.
If Zillow does not provide the required info then basically there it is not worth out time after this properties.
Do you know how many properties got sold in last 6 months. Are those properties same in Size, Type, Bedrooms, garage.
You can build your research on this info.

Idealy you want a couple of sources for comps. One good one is Zillow as Bimal mentioned above. You also should have your real estate agent find comps. You want the comps to be as close as possible in similar style and size of the house, same number of bedrooms, baths etc. as close as you can get. and close to the same area/neighborhood as the house you are comparing to.

Hi Anson just make sure the comps are not to far away, stay close to the project property.Find a local Realtor to work with is the best way to get good comps with in the last 90 days( sold ), Jim
