? On Paying Agent/Broker and Attorney

How and when do attorneys get paid if I use a real estate attorney? And if I use a real estate agent or broker to locate properties that I assign, how do they get paid?

Payment

The attorney will get paid when a deal is complete in most cases unless you have other agreements with them. You should always be clear as to when they require to be paid. If you are assigning contracts you will not have to worry about the real estate agents fees. They get paid for bringing the buyer, so if the buyer line indicates that you or your assigns is the purchaser then they have brought the buyer to the transaction and therefore earned a commission. They will be paid by the seller unless you have made a seperate agreement to pay them. Always be aware of contracts that you have with professionals and the pay that the contract requires - Great questions, I hope that this information helps!
