Anyone with a good experience sending email offers?

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has a good experience sending offers thru email without an agent? If so, what did you use to get your offer accepted?

agent,

I've not done one but I believe that using an agent to submit your offer will show the seller that you are serious about your offer. In addition, there's a package that agent will make you sign when submitting an offer so if you don't have that, I am not sure whether your offer will be valid.

I personally hate the formality of this process. I just want to be able to contact the seller and agree on a price but that's not now it works, I guess.
