OfflineIs there anyone else trying to apply Deans strategies in North Carolina? I would love advice on how you located an attorney.
I am trying my absolute best to find a closing attorney that approves of the IIE or Assignment style. I've visited 3 and got big fat No's! They are all stating how this appears as an illegal practice. I contacted the States Real Estate Commission. They gave me the same advice and went on to explain how they prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. I've tried the help line, no help. I've tried Legal Zoom.com and law.justanswers.com. Roadblock!
Today, I've resorted to calling every local attorney in the phone book, and emailing them answers to what I am trying to do. Then if someone gives me a maybe, I'll set up a consultation.
It appears the only way I can get around this is if I can find some legal documentation to prove this is legal. Then I can present it to an attorney and turn their no into a yes. Otherwise, am I going to have to pick up my life and move to a state that allows a struggling investor to succeed?
I've tried and failed, tried and failed, and again I try. Why don't I give up? I'm hard headed and I Will Succeed or Die Trying!
Try craigs list, I saw some RE attorneys advertising there a few times.
craigslist is a great place...I found mine on there, and you can always post what you are looking for and have them find you...

Thanks, I was hesitant about trying craigslist, just because of the high alert of fraud on that website. But at this point, I'm desperate and will try just about anything. Any advice on how I should market (or list) the type of attorney I'm searching for?
Maybe "Searching for Closing Attorney to handle Assignment Contracts" ?

if you are looking for assignments...just try something like, looking for a real estate attorney that knows about assignment contract, and can help me learn what I need in the contract to protect myself...
something like that...just write exactly what you are looking for...
and or contact the real estate attorneys that are advertising on there already and send the same thing to them...
just keep it simple and to the point...exactly what you are looking for
