It's all starting to come together :)

It's all starting to come together :)

My husband I started looking into Real Estate at the beginning of the year but things didn't really start happening until we joined our local real estate investors group and met some people who have helped us to learn and grow. Not only do they always answer the phone when I call with questions but they introduced us to DG and his books.

Now I'm getting closer and closer to my first deal after only 3 weeks. When I call a lead I don't feel stupid or inept.

Bandit signs work! When I first put them out the phone didn't ring and I felt stupid standing out by the street at a busy intersection. I thought I'd done something wrong, but low and behold I got a REALLY strong lead today from one. The guys wants to off load three houses!

I've discovered that there are people who know less than I do! It really does come a long way when you can make an offer and know that you are on point with your numbers.

I was so nervous and fearful when I started making calls and following leads. Answering numbers I knew were from my bandit signs freaked me out! Now I know that I can do this and help my husband support our family.

Thanks DG Family

I LOVE REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT CLUBS

There is NO substitute for real estate investment clubs. Being able to rub shoulders with local investors is invaluable. First, it makes everything real. You meet regular people that are doing the things you want to do...using the very techniques you have learned.

Second, you are surrounding yourself with like-minded people. This is so important as you are venturing into an area that is new for you. I know when I have tried something new to improve my financial situation I have met negativity from even my closest friends.

Third, it is a GREAT place to find people to put on your power team. You will be able to network with all kinds of folks that will help you in your business.

I am so HAPPY for you!!! Keep it up and do your best!!! Don't let the naysayers bring you down.

This business and techniques work as long as you work.

Welcome to DG and the wonderful world of RE!

It is so much fun! The more involved you get, you will find that this will be your new "crack"! You will eat, breathe and sleep RE and still not feel like you are getting enough!

There will be times when you will feel overwhelmed or even burnt out. When this happens, it is OK and even necessary to take a day or two off. You will be itching to get back into it.

I feel that the NUMBER ONE most important thing for my succeeding and never quitting when I got frustrated was the one on one relationships that I built with other investors that I met on this site. We helped each other through many tough times and cheered together when the good times FINALLY started coming. We kept each other going ALWAYS.

Develop RE friendships. They will make you successful.

Best of luck to you. But remember, you also make your own luck.

Karen

Relationships...

The first thing I figured out that is key to this business is "relationships". It's great that you joined your local REIA. Networking, and pooling resources and knowledge can't be beat.

Great job stepping out there!

Here is a FREE property analyzer I've found:

https://tvallc.infusionsoft.com/go/RehabLite/sroberts/

It's a great tool to use to help analyze your deals (and did I mention it's FREE)! But, you really should spend the $97 and get the full premium edition! IT'S AWESOME!!

Just move forward

I absolutely love going to real estate investment clubs. I can’t stress enough the importance of being around like minded people. I remember the first time I went to an investment club. I was so nervous but I had my cards in hand and was able to push through my fear and talk to people. What I found is that there were people there that were in the same boat as me. In the end, I met a ton of people got some good contacts and met a local investor that is very active in our local market. It was a great experience.

I would have to say that every new thing I have done in real estate investing had been the same way. I always started out scared and then looked back and realized that it wasn’t a big deal. One thing I was taught when I first got started, but it took a while to sink in, is that people really won’t remember me after the fact. Therefore, I move forward without fear.
