Attending REI meetings

Attending REI meetings

I attended a big RE event sponsered by propertyshark. It was in manhattan and over 900 people were to attend, dont know if it was that many but it was shoulder to shoulder at one time. met a lot of people and recieved and gave out a lot of biz cards. Now i just need to figure out who i was interested in and which card is theirs lol. But i met a title co that does double closings, that was the first question i asked since we say they are hard to find. word to the wise when attending an event that big, bring a note pad and pen and write down who you want to contact the next day. Or write on the back of their cards.I made that mistake last night and am having a hard time figuring out who i need to follow up with and who i don't.
If you have never attended a meeting then go to one!!
You will make some good contacts that way.
Richie.

Richie,

Thanks for sharing your experience about the real estate club meeting. These are great places to network. It sounds like it was a very large meeting and a great opportunity to network with fellow investors. Writing down a summary is a good practice to start. Another thing I do is write down the date of the meeting on the back of the cards and if I have a brief conversation just a few notes on what I discussed with other members. Luckily the meeting I have went to have less than 50 attendees. Good luck with your future deals. Believe and Achieve! Smiling - Joe
