What keeps you going? How do you keep things in the right perspective?
I am computer gamer and a fisherman. One of my dreams is to have to hit pause on my video game on my computer which is in the cabin on my nice big fancy fishing boat way out in the gulf somehwere cause I am getting a bite.
When a fisherman is fishing and doesn't catch fish or get a bite does he quit, give up and never try again? If he does how much will he catch?
When playing a video game if you lose to a boss do you quit the game right there and then and never play another game?
Does a fisherman(or woman) keep fishing and learning until they are successful? Do you go back over and over until you do beat that boss and continue on playing the game?
Rei is fishing with some gaming mixed in. First you have to get you fishing gear(Rei knowledge), then you have to get the good bait(motivated sellers, good deals), last but not least you have to make sure the fish(buyers) can find the bait(deals) so you get the bites. Your going to have bad days and get skunked(no catches) it happens. You have to keep fishing, keep fighting that video game boss over and over until you win(finding buyer, sellers, deals etc.).
Nutshell statement:
We all know that if we take action, and keep taking action then we will achieve our goals. There is no way we won't achieve those goals, unless we stop ourselves or don't let ourselves.
Think of Dean's example of a Baby learning to walk. Now tell yourself you have permission to give up and quit when the baby does. How many poeple can't walk because as babies they quit tying to learn how?
'Nother Dean example:
If I take a test and fail but can study, learn and retake that test as often as I want until I succeed would I quit before I succeeded?

I will never give up on anything I do!!!
I remember before I became an Insurance Agent (my part time job now) 3 years ago, I started taking the test in May 0f 2007 failed 7 times for 6 months and finally pass on November of the same year. It was my 8th take. It never occured in my mind and entertain the idea of quiting. I did not look for any excuses. Staying motivated is the key. That's all I can share. LA
Everytime you repeat the words "I CAN DO IT" with conviction, you cancel or override your fear and increase your confidence. By repeating this affirmation over and over, you can eventually build your courage and confidence to the point where you are unafraid. -Brian Tracy-
