A technique I’ve used to find the right agent is to first call the managing broker of a local office. The managing broker knows all the agents in the office and is responsible for their activities. The managing broker gets a portion of the commission that every agent in their office generates. The broker really doesn’t care whether you work with agent A, B or C in their office, just that you buy and sell through their office.
Ask the managing broker to recommend an investor-friendly agent for you to work with. Their recommendation can be a huge time saver. If you call or stop in to the office you will talk with the next available agent regardless of whether they are investor friendly or not. It is too big a gamble that you will get the right agent. The managing broker can significantly improve the odds of you getting to the right agent.
