Need some help.

Need some help.

Hello DJ members

I recently found this great home that seems to have been abandon. I looked up property online and its not for sale. Will I was looking at the property I found a abandon rental sign on the floor that seems to been there for a long time. I called the number and the lady that answered told me the owner couldnt find someone to rent and took it off the market. Now I ask her if she had anyway to contact them she said no. I thought maybe she didnt want to disclose any information so I left her my email and phone number so she could possible contact the owners and forward the information to them. I was hoping to find another way to contact the owners, does anyone have a good way to contact owners on abandon properties? I went to city hall and requested notice of default from the public records but im not sure if it will show up there. I have to wait a few days till i recieve that information.

Go to your city/county website tax assesors and look up the address of the property. It will show name of owner, taxes and sales transfer history and the address of the owner. Then look up the owner and call them.

finding owner

I put in "land records" for the county and state. It brings up the home page for the court records. Then I look under tax assessments. If you can't find it, call the court house they are always glad to help. Tell them you are looking for the owners as you are interested in the building. They will walk you through finding it on the internet.
Hope this turns out to be a good deal for you!
Sandi

reinvestor is right

Find the owner's address, and mail them a yellow letter. If you can find their number in the phone book, that's even better.
