I ran across this site when I was looking for trailers:
Someone in another post has mentioned this site in a list of classified ad sites, but I've just discovered what a potentially useful tool it could be.
If you're like me, you use craigslist all the time. But, when you're searching for something specific, it can get really aggravating searching through the local craigslist sites city by city, state by state. Very time-consuming and annoying to be so geographically limited.
On yakaz you just type what you're looking for in the search box and you get classified ads from across the entire United States. You can narrow your search down to a particular state just by clicking on a map. Then you can even narrow your results down to your town.
Most of the ads I've seen are from craigslist, some are from eBay, and some from other sites like reachoo, a video classifieds site.
This is my new way to search craigslist. You can search how you want!
Hope this post helps someone.
I just looked up a couple through yakaz, and had never heard of them before. It did give me only small handful of properties, in Wisconsin but did give me other websites to open. It was very interesting. Will check out some others.
Thanks for the tip.
Sandi
Glad you found it interesting. I guess search results on any site are limited, depending on what you're looking for and how many people have actually posted an ad for it.
I buy and sell all sorts of stuff on eBay and craigslist. I'm constantly searching for any and everything (not just properties). Yakaz might be better for some things than for others, I suppose. I also like that it introduced me to other sites I hadn't heard of.
I haven't heard much about reachoo yet, but it seems like a good idea. It sounds like a better idea than posting video ads on youtube that people will be watching 3 years later. (I hope they don't use youtube's player. )
I will check out more of the other sites you mentioned. And I am not an ebay person, never even looked at it. Not at all computer savvy!!
But you did show me some other good sites.
So thanks again. Will let you know what else I find.
Sandi
I wouldn't say you're not at all computer savvy! It takes a lot of figuring just to know what you're doing on this site. You definitely know a lot about computers. You're obviously an asset to DG.com. Look at all of your impressive badges and points! I'm honored that you responded to my thread.
Thanks for the compliment. But it took me over 6months before I knew how to post on here. Because they never tell you that. And I have found others on here, that also had no idea how to respond on here, and they were like me, DG students.
Have you done any deals yet? And do you work with anyone else? I did meet a few from Wis on this site, and I am hoping to be working with one soon. He has looked at the property I have here, and is coming to the REI meetings with me now.
Have a great day!
Sandi
No deals yet. My life has been overly eventful for the past few months, I guess. I'm not really working with anyone else at the moment, but I am signed up on Carol Stinson's team.
I do have the two places under contract, and really had good luck today.
As I am moving back to a small farm I used to live on, and it is empty again. Landlord asked me if I would want to move back. Well, long story short. I have a realtor friend in Las Vegas who called me today. And she wants to come back to Wisconsin. She specials in short sales and works with several investors.
We are moving in together on the farm for May 1st. So hopefully, this will help both her and I get out business going.
But really force yourself to start calling some FSBO, even if it goes nowhere. It will get your feet wet, and you may end up with a deal.
Maybe Barb and I can partner up with more people, which would be great.
Her daughter is taking care of her place so she can move back here for now.
And I am hoping I can get my own place again, preferably in Wyoming. Want to retire there. Love the Rockies!!
Let me know how you do and if you ever need anything, let me know.
But please keep in touch.
Sandi
Seems pretty cool. I'm gonna have to check that out.
Where have you BEEN!?!?
Have not seen you in ages! Or have you just been "flying" under the radar?

I suppose I am competent enough to spread some of my joy around. What nice things to say. Thanks.
