Hello!
I'm getting on my homework for the first 5 days of the 30 day plan, and don't know how to Google for growth, jobs, and people moving in. I guess it's a silly thing, but Google has been singularly difficult for me to use lately. Any tips?
I also have no idea how to find the cash buyers on Google Earth. Does this mean to look up the zip codes I get from realtors?
Thanks for any help!
Judy

Hi, Judy ~~~
I'm just learning too, but I can get you started here. If you go to Google Maps and enter "We Buy Houses" along with a town, county, zipcode, etc., the map will come up with red balloons and corresponding listings along the left of the screen. Some will be appropriate possibilities; some probably will not, but it's a start, and you'll usually get address and phone to begin checking them out.
As far as job growth, I just went back to Google Web search and typed in
"projected job growth,_______, state," and got a number of resources. Also, usually the county and state websites have links for various useful demographics including population, jobs, taxes, etc.
I know the more experienced DGers will have other suggestions and ways to fine-tune your searches, but hopefully this will help you get going in the meantime.

Thanks, Jennifer!
I really appreciate your help. Never used Google Earth, though I have used the maps, and I've been stumped on how to get what I want out of Google in the past couple years So this will help!
Do you know, would I also put the zip codes of my cash buyers into Google Earth when I get them?
Thanks again,
Judy
... where?
If you fill out your profile on DG, you're more likely to get busy DGers (read experienced, successful) to take you seriously and take the time to respond. Go to your Account page, click on the Edit tab for Profile, and fill us in a bit so we know who we're talking with and have some idea of your general area.
Then go to Real Estate Forums and check out some of the threads in the topic you're studying, such as Marketing.
Also, try key words or phrases in the Search box at the top left (skip the magnifier and hit Enter); for example, try "build cash buyers list" or "locate cash buyers." That will give you a number of posts and perspectives to consider; there are different methods and perspectives for most everything here, and some may suit your situation better than others. In particular, I know there's one list of 85 ways to locate cash buyers making the rounds that will give you new ways to look at the possibilities.

I think there's a misunderstanding of my question. I'm trying to find out how to do one of the tasks in the first 5 days. I wasn't asking about finding cash buyers, but what to do on Google Earth when I get the cash buyer lists from realtors.
