I want to know if you can help me i live in arkansas and i now own a property in michican, i was wanting to apply for a loan to fix the property up in michigan but don't really know where to begin do i apply at my local bank? or do i try to get the loan in michigan?

Some mortgage brokers are licensed to originate loans in all 50 states. You can contact local mortgage brokers and find out if they are able to do this for loan for you. I would definately shop around and request a good faith estimates from the different lenders to assure that they are not charging too much to do this loan for you. There are many things that they can charge for that are not necessary. You should compare not only the interest rate but the fees that they normally charge to do the transaction.
