Hi Kevin,

I'm in a very similar situation as the above "saucy1". Would you be interested in working with me as well? I've always been interested in real estate, own my own primary and 1 rental. I've read Dean's "Profit from RE Now" and started reading it a second time. We have very bad credit and no cash so I'm just not sure how to get started...

Birddogging for short sales

Hi Kevin, I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my 2 books(should be here this week) but I'm in the same situation as well.I'm 24 years old and have little money to invest but I'm wondering which direction to go in..It sounds like maybe bird dogging would be where I would need to start out. Are you still looking for people to work with??

No money to Invest

There are investors like Kevin in every market. This forum is a great place to network but don't overlook local resources that may be available to you. Look for investor clubs or landlord associations in your city. Do an internet search for local clubs. You can also call investors who may already be running ads such as "We buy houses" or "We Stop Foreclosure" They are investors and may be willing to do assignment of contract or have you bird dog properties for them. You can also advertise in local papers offering your services.

Great advice from boconnor. I might also suggest reading Dean's other book, PROFIT FROM REAL ESTATE RIGHT NOW. It's great. It gives you action steps at the end of every chapter. DO those action steps.
Also as boconnor suggested, go to REI clubs in your area and meet other investors and network. Maybe bird dog for them. Find out what they need or want.
Also try to find a busy (veteran) investor in your area and ask him if you can work for him for FREE in exchange for knowledge. You may very well find one or sometimes they may have an intern program you can participate in. That would REALLY boost your activity, education and knowledge!

No Money to Invest

Thanks ladies and gents for putting your questions. I have always wanted to invest in Real Estate as well, but with limited funds, have not had the opprotunity to do so. I have ordered Dean's books, and can't wait to get them. I look forward to learning more.
