I have been asked to purchase a home by the executrix, as part of an estate sale, for the taxes owed on it. This is truly a splendid deal, and my cash is tied up at the moment. Thanks for responding, Bill and Mark. I have the opportunity to purchase this house for what's owed on it: real estate taxes and a sewer lien. I'm seeking $20,000. I plan on purchasing it, clearing it out as it has massive amounts of furniture inside, and rehabbing it. I plan on holding the rehab off until February or March 2012. I'll have an appraisal done on the home to determine the ARV, but I believe this house can sell quickly for $185,000. It's dilapidated now, as it has been sitting for over 2 years, but it has enormous potential, and will be an eye-pleaser once it's rehabbed. It has lots and lots of land too. It's a 3 bed/ 2 bath home, about 1261 SF, and with a lot size of 14,810 SF.
