All about US!!!!!!! Nick and Gen!!!!!!!

Hello everyone! If you are reading this, then my guess is that you thought...hmm, I wonder what this pair has to say?...well, I will tell you...as of now, not much! lol... We're beginners, but be that as it may, we are going ALL the way!!!!!!! There is NO turning back!

With that said, I will just speak on a "hey we're NEW" level.

So, I (Gen) have been on here for almost a month. Here's my experience:

Ever since I was younger I have always wanted to be a Lawyer and a Veternarian. I love to help people and am a lover of life! So what better way to help take care of others than to fight in court for justice and help heal some sick animals. Long story short- I worked as a paralegal when I was 19 and realized that I didn't like our "justice" system. Well, at least not in my state...lol. so I changed my mind- on both careers. Figured I could help others once I establish myself financially and just join groups that actually volunteer services and do some REAL work ya know? So, I know I can still make a difference and I will.

Started looking for ventures that would allow me to work for myself. Did work for a company that was a sub-company for ADT named Alliance...I loved the work in terms of sales and helping to secure others, however my car went down and I worked with a crazy person (I'll be nice and say crazy)so I had to quit! It's way better when you have your own car when doing field work! Then I was going to get my Bailbonds license but Nick is like "NO!"...so I didn't do it. For some reason everyone looks at me and is like, I'm too bubbly and nice and tiny...people would MURDER ME!!!!!!! lol...I laugh and say...WOW!!!!!!! People really underestimate me. Most are surprised to find that for my size I'm pretty strong! lol...but to those that don't know...it's funny when they think I'm a target for being a "push over" lol...anywho- I respect my hubby and didn't do it..plus, I was concerned for our family's safety too ya know..I want kids...so it was probably not the best idea to want to work with drug addicts and possible abusers who I know are not going to ALWAYS ABIDE by the LAW...smh...but I thought it would be exciting though! ...well, I'll never know! lol...unless I see Dog the bounty hunter! (love that show!)...

Well, the above were my career interests. So how does RE fit into my interests??? Well, here is how : When I was younger my sis and I always talked about what we wanted when we get older...and one of the main things that we always discussed was property! WE always had an interest in wanting to purchase houses to rent out. That's not a career in my mind..that's a pass time, hobby and something that I find fun! I just never knew it was called REI. I didn't find this out until July when I saw the news station with dean on it and he said he was in my town doing free seminars. I've seen his informercials...but I NEVER BELIEVE those ads...so many people out there LYING...I didn't want to be a SUCKER!!!!!!! lol...well, I entertained the seminar, because it was FREE!!!!!! who doesn't like free? Long story short: I thought the seminar wasted my time and became more concerned...I was already researching this and just decided to ask more questions because I became concerned as to was this real? Do people really do this and if so, why are they charging? I'm sure I can learn on my own but can I ask for advice or do I have to spend money I don't have just to get advice!!!!! These were my concerns, so I started reaching out to at least 5 people...honestly just 5 people..because I didn't want to seem like I'm harrassing others on here...so I was making sure to limit the amount I ask questions to. With that said, I was able to get my concerns answered and found out that this site is very good and that the people on here are awesome!!!!!!! I love the fact that we are able to learn together. I mean, I haven't seen this anywhere else! The education alone is all I wanted. I can learn on my own and research...but when I have questions, its comforting to know that I can ask someone. Which is why when I am able to (once I master birddogging and assignments to start) I want to go to the edge meetings that Dean has...at least 1. Just to show my appreciation in the opportunity presented alone on this site! I have so far had the opportunity to network with some great people and am working on building my buyers list so that I can move forward and start to help assist others in finding great deals. Because this will help me to get the experience I need and will help to put money into my pockets so that I can work my way towards investing!

My goals may sound dumb..but I'm trying to be realistic...and if anyone disagrees, please let me know and why...maybe I can tweak my goals if they are too unrealistic sounding. But here are my current short term goals: I have started my research in July, been on this site for about 1 month...I have learned so much in this little amount of time..I don't want to stop here! So I plan to at least have 2 properties that I can find to birddog and at least 2 properties that I can hopefully and prayerfully assign, whether in my state, VA or Wis. (I'm keeping my focus small, so that I don't overwhelm myself). This is my short term goal that I would love to have done w/in 6 months. So by Jan/Feb I plan to have generated some type of income or at least gotten close.

What do you all think? I think this is realistic since I'm just beginning and still have A LOT to learn.

Well, this is my beginning experience within this month alone, I will definitely try to keep everyone posted every month...at least once a month! Because I have a blog that I'm trying to do every four days....lol...at lot of work..but oh well...it's worth it!

Here is a note that I had to take from my experience yesterday: NEVER allow yourself to BECOME OVERWHELMED!!!!!!! I found myself researching and learning about the many ways to generate income through RE that I actually forgot my purpose and my original desire. That was LEARNING RE!!!!!!! I forgot that I already plan to do birddogging and assignments...the other ventures seem so TEMPTING...it almost knocked me off course and almost distracted me!!!!!!! So with this in mind, please remember (as my hubby and someone on here told me)to STAY FOCUSED and MASTER ONE THING AT A TIME!!!!!!! I had to remember this and pray to Jehovah God for patience. Because depending on our circumstances, everyone needs money for various reasons. My reasons are more on the scale of simply wanting more time with my hubby and family and more time to focus on OUR CAREERS!!!!!!! That's it...but that's what almost knocked me off my course..the fact that I want to send our younger siblings to Space Camp before they are too old..the fact that I want to have a home away from home where our family can come to, the fact that I want property and rentals to help sustain our life to being as comfortable as possible and the fact that I want to be a stay at home mom when the time comes for my hubby and I to have our children and so much more! The fact is, I love my life...I just want to see my family have more that they can do without the stresses of "how much will it cost?", "I wish I could do this..." , "Wouldn't it be nice if.." I want to make those questions REALITY. This is MY MOTIVATION...and to be honest I thank Jehovah God for giving me such great work ethics and endurance. Because when I set my mind to something..no matter how difficult...the Lord ALWAYS SEES ME THROUGH!!!!!!! And that's where my Faith lies...with Jehovah God! With the stresses of the world, it's easy for us to forget...but the fact is, make sure that you DON'T EVER FORGET OUR FATHER!!!!!!! Make sure TO KEEP GOD FIRST AND FOREMOST IN ALL WE DO. As long as we do this, everything will fall into place...really it WILL!

In closing, I am just happy to be apart of this group and family and maybe one day I will be able to meet some of you! By that time (soon!) I will have some assignments under my belt, done some birddogging, and looking to acquire a rental or two (for starters)...And the last thing I want to master for now is to figure out how Wholesaling works along with the possible note or tax lien purchases...but that's down the road! Right now it's strictly assignments and birddogging!

I have met some great people and will continue to do so. To everyone who is just reading this and just starting out....remember to do what makes YOU HAPPY and NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK!!!!!!! We will all make mistakes, but doesn't it feel great to have someone to share your failures with that can possibly help guide you or even better, help you before you make the mistake? It's nice to have a place to come and discuss things at... So I look forward to more of this and encourage any NEW person to KEEP STRIVING AND PUSHING FORWARD...YOU WILL PREVAIL...just as long as you DO IT RIGHT!!!!!!!

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS SO FAR:

*Met some great people (no more than 10 so far...lol..but that's something better than nothing!)

*Have at least 4 buyers out of state that are willing to work with me on a birddogging/assignments basis. and one in the state.

*Have a realtor that is willing to work with me and give us some properties.

*Working on building buyers list...and still working etc.

As for my AWESOME, BLESSED, HANDSOME MAN OF GOD Nick!!!!!!! Well, his journey is the same but different fields. Now, although this is a REI site, this journal is about OUR Journey...so yes, I will speak briefly on other fields too!

So, My baby Nick is learning with me on the REI side of things but not as deep as I am learning. This is because he wants to work with me on this-as it will be OUR business, but he is mastering his fields of interest. Which are: Graphic Arts/Photography and Music...so together we plan to have 3 careers working for us that we both LOVE and ENJOY doing together! Which is AWESOME and a BLESSING!!!!!!! My hubby has begun his journey in terms of beginning the process of promoting hisself in music as well as we are promoting an artist that we have. He is working on bringing clientele for production purposes in order to gain extra income for main goals. At the same time, he is preparing hisself so that by next year when he is working for a graphic design company he can use that money to put towards his own photography/graphic design company. This will be great as he LOVES photography and music is our passtime...it's literally in our genes'!!!!!!! So when we have children they are going to LOVE MUSIC!!!!!!! Trust me, almost everyone in our family loves music and we never speak to them about it...they just have a natural talent for it! And I mean true talent..not just the "I want to do it talent"..but the Jehovah God has truly blessed them with it talent!

Long story short My hubby Nick is really great at what he does and I'm always impressed on his knowledge and how deep it is! He is very talented and knows EXACTLY what he's doing! I LEARN SO MUCH FROM MY BABY!!!!!!! I LOVE NICK WITH ALL MY BEING!!!!!!! He's just so AWESOME!!!!!!! (sorry but I have to be honest!)

Anywho- He works everyday and everynight!!!!!!! And sometimes it's trying because I want to spend SO MUCH TIME...but I try to be fair... Sometimes if I am in the "let's work and get it" mood..I will sit in the studio with him and learn something else and listen and watch the pro!!!!!!! which is always nice! But sometimes, I just either work on the REI side of our goals and/sit and chill watch tv or clean and cook..depends on the hour of day! lol...

Nick has always had a passion for Art and Music...which is cool because so have I!!!!!!! We both are talented Artists (both lyrically and drawing wise)..although, I admit...he's better than me!!!!!!! lol ..hey, at least I have a teacher!!!!!!!

So this is why we are simply excited..because we are doing something that we both love!!!!!!! And that's what matters!!!!!!!

Anywho- I won't lingure too long...besides, I just may get my hubby to write on here at least once for me!!!!!!! This way you can get a feel for his introductory thoughts personally rather from what I know! That would be fun right!?!?! lol

NICK'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS SO FAR:

* Has a studio and office that he is able to operate from, plus the necessary equipment.

* Has an artist that he can work with (a singer).

* Is building his portfolio for his Graphic Arts/Photography buisness. (THEY ARE AWESOME BY THE WAY!!!!!!!)-SO IF IN BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA HE WOULD BE PERFECT TO DO WEDDINGS, PARTIES, ALBUM COVERS, FLYERS, BUISNESS CARDS, ETC.

* Is Networking with some pretty cool people that have a high interest in his tracks. (yes, he is very talented and knows how to do the engineering as well!!!!!!!)

* and much much MORE!!!!!!!

oK, Well...that's that about the two of us for now!

I had to share a lil bit about my hubby Nick because this journey is about US!!!!!!! Where ever we are in life we are always going to be together and have each others back, so it's fitting to have a journal documenting just that!
