Not sure if this is the right place , someone let me know if it is.

We bought Deans books 8/26/2009. The books sat for a couple of days, then..... Once I started reading I couldnt stop, then... It was on! I joined the acadamy 9/4/2009. Now I would like to say that I have stuck to the plan and taken all the lessons. I have not. mainly because every breath I take is RE. Where ever we go everyone is talking about it. We have met so many people that seem to be looking for us. Other investors, familys looking for homes, agents looking for investors. It amazes me that this other world has been there all this time and I wasn't included. We have not made our first deal yet, but we are close. Tonight we have a full plate of meeting with our new agent team, and directly after attending our first REI club meeting. Life it self is a journey, We all have our own carts. Sometimes we are pushing our cart, sometimes pulling our cart, and there are those times that we are running after our cart trying to catch up. If things are going right we are riding our carts. Right now I am riding my cart and thanks to dean my cart is motorized. I don't know where my cart is headed but I am excited. I am in the process of taking the wheel and being in cotrol of my journey. That is a gift.

9/25/09 We met with our potential power team yesterday. Great meeting , they are pumped as are we. One problem, they are telling me that in the state of Colorado we cannot safley do a wholesale deal or assignment of contract. That it muddys the contracts and leagally is prohibited. Does anyone know if this is true???

Congratulations for starting your journal and being a part of the DG website community. It sounds like you are off to a fast start. The key to learning something new is gathering all the facts from the right members on your team. A real estate attorney can assit you with how to handle an assignment or a wholesale deal. I believe Section 18 of the Colorado Contract to Buy and Sell is the section that may be used to notify the seller that you, the buyer, may plan to assign the contract.
