Like so many others I have been forced to start completely over at the age of 40 so I am pretty excited about this opportunity. I am waiting for my book but I am reading my pdf version. I am completely brand new to real estate/investing etc.so I am very glad to see so many others who are not. This is my first Journal post so I hope I am posting correctly. I am a little on the fence because I have nothing but knowledge is the key and it seems there are others who have started the same way. I had trouble finding my journal,I would have posted sooner. I received my books Saturday and started reading. I am finding after being a stay at home father for over a year that I am pretty inillectual and love reading and learning. I did the 7 levels deep excercise which was really neat. I have to admitt,just like alot of first time users,I was skeptical about this whole deal. Even with what little I have read I was thinking " Great this is just a way to bait you in to signing up for his school"( Still wondering but I am still reading). My family lost our home,we are going through a short sale to avoid foreclosure and have moved to a rental. The agent who is Helping us made me feel more at ease when He told me himself that Absolutely you could get into real estate with no money. I am now having lunch with him in 2 weeks to discuss my situation,to discuss Bird doging(never heard of this)and he said he would be more then happy to assit me with any questions as well,Not Bad. In less then 5 years I changed my job due to being attacked and robbed for $70 as a Conveint store manager, laid off from the carpet mills,We went through almost $20,000 my wife and I had saved up in retirement trying to stay afloat, Filed Chapter 13,down graded and gave up a car,our home and rented another. Basically we are staring over at age 40 like so many others. So from here I will continue reading,working and Learning. New post tomorrow and thanks for all the help and support.
