I wanted to make a request. I think a live real estate chat box would be a big plus for all of us here on the board. Sometimes it would be handy to be able to come here live and get a question answered immediatly or be able to say hello. New people could really benefit too from being able to talk in real time to a lot of us here on the board.
I have used the www.cbox.com and it always seems to work fine. I know there are other free ones out there too as well as paid ones. All you do is copy the code it creates and paste it in the headers or footers and it instantly appears.
And...(hint) Dean could actually drop in tme to time and say hello! LOL! Just a suggestion.

When the site was first launched this was a feature for a short period of time. Unfortunately, it wasn't used very often for good and presented much more downside than upside:
1) It was used for pushing people towards fraudulent offers or to generally spam or mislead.
2) More importantly, a lot of people ended up trying to ask great questions or offer great advice in chat, which means that the info is only available to the select people who happen to be there are that time, while the forums allow it to be shared with everyone.
A few months ago we discussed trying it again but opt'd not to at the moment because we don't have a good solution to keep the important discussions in the forums while having the ability to ensure the new members aren't taken advantage of. When we do, perhaps we will revisit it.
Alternatively, if you want people to be able to chat with you or vice versa you can post your Instant Messenger info (AIM, Yahoo IM, MSN IM, etc) in your profile if you want to.
