OfflineSome homes located with a subdivision where there is a Home Owners Association have been auctioned off. When buying a home from one of these HOA are you still obligated to pay off the 1st mortgage or any other liens or judgments?

Unless the laws have changed, even in a HOA, you will have to settle the liens on the house. Can the mortgage be assumed? This might give you some wiggle room with the seller about any other liens on the house. Is this prop going to foreclosure or pre-foreclosure. Might be able to work a short sale with the bank and owner....Jan
