LA Investors - Looking for Buyers? REIC meeting last night was GREAT! Fellow DGers were there!

I always encourage people to travel a bit if necessary to make it to a meeting, but you are a bit far away.

If you're having trouble finding one in your area, google Real Estate Investment Clubs in ____________, VA. Go to auctions and talk to the investors there to find out if they belong to any clubs. Ask real estate agents the same thing. Even if you have to drive 50 miles one way to get to one, it would be well worth your while.

I thought at first I was possibly the only one trying to make it in the REI business out here in CA. That was until I followed Dean and his companions on their trip, and CA was on the list of one of their stops. I'm still learning and I appreciate your help. This will be my first meeting. I want to thank you for your post. Now lets just hope I can find it.LOL

Thanks for your comments. I would love to meet you at the meeting. Please be sure to say hi. I will probably be the tallest woman in the room, and a brunette. (Oh, and DUH! - my picture is right here). Make sure to bring plenty of cards and if you don't have any, go to Office Depot or Staples today and pick up a package of Avery business cards and run some off for yourself before the meeting. They don't need to be fancy, but make sure you have the following info on it: name, contact info (phone, email, fax & website-if you have either or both, and your business address-again, if you have one; don't put your home address on it). You may also want to put what you're concentrating on as far as making deals: birddogging, wholesaler, investor, etc.

It will be great to see someone from DG land there. And believe me, you are not the only one trying to make it in REI out here in CA. As you will see at the meeting.

I'm so excited that you are taking this important step. As far as finding it, just use your favorite mapping site to give you directions.

I am so encouraged that people are going to come. People will post that they can't find an REIC so I started posting meeting details before last month's meetings, but no on seemed interested. I knew I wasn't the only DGer in LA County!

Last nites LAREIC meeting was great. I was able to network with many Real Estate Professionals that were interested in my services...BIRDDOGGING! Everyone there was so friendly and polite that it just felt rite. The guest speaker was really good and very informative. Oh, and I also got to meet and network with the founder and president, Sam Sadat. Great guy! I was hoping to meet you so that I could network with you as well and to personally thank you for inviting me to this awesome club. Maybe next Month.

Now for my newbie DG family. I am highly encouraging you all to attend a real estate investors club in your area. It is a must if you want to get started in the investment field. You will get to meet with all walks of life and they're all there for one thing...to make money with you! I myself had that fear of getting out there and doing something Real Estate related but after last nights event, it opened up my eyes. It made me see that its not as bad as I thought it would be. With Deans books and Success Academy, I can make this work. Now its time for me to make it happen for myself and my family and loved ones. Make it happen for you and yours. Attend a Real Estate Investors Club. Ill keep you all posted on my progress. And Cindy, THANKS AGAIN.

Christine was there as well. She found me at the end of the night when a group of us were gathered around the guest speaker. She was also very happy she had attended and is going to try to make it to Richard's seminar on Saturday. Will you be able to attend it? We could meet then.

I told Christine that when I attend meetings and seminars, I always find myself asking myself, would Dean approve of this? He has brought us along to be ethical and honest and that is what I'm looking for in groups I associate with. With LAREIC I've been able to answer a resounding "YES"!. You're right, Sam is just a great guy. He reminds me a bit of Dean, he's just not as tall, young, or handsome. But he really cares about RE, about doing it right, and about helping everyone who wants to make it their career. And his meetings...and his guests' seminars/workshops...are FREE! Where else do you find that? He used to charge, but I think he's afraid with the economy the way it is that even that small per meeting amount ($25) might be enough to give some people a reason to stay away. And he really wants to help as many people as he can achieve greatness in their lives (sound familiar?). His club is just a perfect extension of what Dean teaches us. I hope people in other areas are as lucky as we are and have a place like LAREIC to hook up with other RE people.

Dan and Tammy were going to try to make it also. I wonder if they made it? First meetings are a little difficult when you don't know what the other person looks like.

I'm so happy you made it and that you found it to be such a great experience. Let me know if you're going to be able to come Saturday and if so, let's make it a point to meet.

Vicki here, I just wanted to thank you again for the invite, and yes I was there. I'm sorry I didn't get to say hello to you, and all the fellow DGers that were there. You're right, first meetings are tricky. To be honest, I just took on to much to do yesterday and by the time I arrived things were pretty much on the ball. I did sign up for saturday though,I'm hoping things go smoother, and you wouldn't believe what happend to me today. To make a long story short,somehow AT&T switched my e-mail address to one I had years ago. I was on the phone for hours, my elbow was killing me. Apparently,they were getting rid of old addresses,I won't go into details but at first it looked like I'd lost all of my info forever. That didn't happen, I get to keep all my info but I had to change my e-mail address. Now I just need new bussiness cards. Anyway maybe next time. Till then take care.

I'm so sorry we didn't get a chance to meet last night but so glad you were able to make it. The energy with that group is always so fantastic. I feel the same way as Rob Rowe, Sam's partner that he introduced at the start of the meeting. Those meetings are one of the highlights of my month.

Sorry about your email address. Why don't you go to Office Depot or Staples tomorrow and pick up some Avery cards you can print yourself. Come to think of it, I'm out and I need to do that myself. That way we'll both have enough to hand out Saturday.

REALLY hoping you can make it Saturday. Hopefully, the DGers will be able to pick each other out of the crowd and we can all have lunch together during the break to talk about all things DG and RE.
