I have friends that live in southern Michigan and they tell me it is awful there, because there is no industry. Once we gain a property, what is the market to flip or rent to own?
One friend is an investor and he can't find much of anything to make money on.

I am going to look at a property in Niles MI today. I am looking to wholesale this property when I get it under contract. I am not real familiar with the area but if the price is right I know it will sell.
Where are you currently investing and do you know anyone in the area who is looking for investments in the area?
Unfortunately, your friend's comments are somewhat true! However, properties are still moving as people still need places to live. Wayne County is as you know "On Sale". My play book says rent to own and hold for appreciation. There is still a vialble city here gearing for a come back!
I am not familiar with Niles. Let me know what you find there and what the opportunities are.
