Well, numbers are now showing that overseas investors are congregating to Memphis, TN to buy these deals!!! For years, reports have shown that Florida has been the number one state for Canadian & oversea investors …. Even though this is still true, I was very surprised to have read an article in Innman News, written by Steve Bergsman where he goes into details about this new market.
As I have done my due diligence to locate properties in Memphis, I’ve found that single family properties
are very low HOWEVER rents are fairly high. Therefore turn-key properties are a phenomenal way for real estate investors to build up their portfolio, where they are receiving a positive monthly income and the property’s equity are increasing.
The article went on to state;
“The 2010 median home price in Memphis was $67,100, reported Money magazine. The average home price in Auckland, New Zealand's largest metro area, in a rough comparison, is more than $300,000. But, take your pick, home prices in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and most of Western Europe are considerably higher than most U.S. locations.
And Memphis, which boasts a population of almost 700,000 people, is cheaper than most other large U.S. cities. No wonder foreign investors are interested.”
