Zillow postiing properties that are not available

Zillow posted a property and my partner put a full price offer on it as it looked too good to be true. Well it was. I contacted the agent listed for the property and she informed me that zillow put that up and they have no control over it. Why would zillow do that? The house last sold for 323,ooo and was listed as 33,900. So I said this has got to be a mistake and I called to find out. Bad Zillow; should we trust them at all?

That's interesting...

Tammy, anyone could post anything on Zillow.com. Also, Zillow is linked with other sites, so something in translation from one site to Zillow may not link correctly. When something sounds too good to be true, it's better to get to the bottom of it, like you did!

I've seen in the past, some people posting in craigslist, for sale properties they dont even relate to. Maybe an upset neighbor trying to give his other neighbor a bad time.
