How to post on Craigslist

Yes you do have to be specific.You have to choose which area you want to post, and if you want to post in more than 1 spot you have to make sure you re-word the second because they wont let you put the same stuff in different areas

My name is Trina and I found a article on how to post on BigPockets.com and what I did was go under Real Estate and then Services and post my ad. But first look at all of the other ads you want to make yours different. You want it to stand out. What I did was use one similar to Carol Stinson and I've had alot of responses.

It seems you have to pick real estate or housing wanted or selling houses and then you have to be either the broker or owner. I am just looking to put a general ad on Craigslist. Can I put it in a different area even though it is housing??? It would seem they wouldn't allow this. Like if I wanted to put a ghost ad to draw buyers for instance, what would I do? Trina I am not referring to biggerpockets.

That link was helpful, but I am also still looking for how to post a basic ad. I wonder if Carol Stinson has anything on this topic since she said that she goes on there many times a day to get the first postings for a property so she can jump on them. I just can't seem to find what I need. help anyone?

top left, under 'craigslist',

click 'post to classifieds'

click 'housing offered'

click 'by owner'

fill out info for ad

CL is not allowing to post the same ad in different places. I suggest you change the wording in the different ads if you plan to do that, or have as many as email accounts to do it. They are getting strict with spams.

I am looking for an ad that I could get buyers or an ad to advertise as a birddog for now since I don't own any properties yet. Tammy
