Ok, so for the past 2 months i have been so consumed by this. I have read, and re-read deans books more times that i can count. Everyday i wake up at 6 am and start the process of looking at craigslist, or other real estate sites and try to find FSBO adds that i can make offers on. I look on deans site for more info, and i look at the videos and i just try to soak as much information in as i can. For the last couple of days i have been second guessing myself about whether i can do this or not. I think that i am getting so consumed with it that i am just making things harder for myself. I am thinking on it too much and making things harder than they have to be. Im forgetting the steps. I want to focus on lease options and assignments. I've been waiting for someone to take me by the hand and show me how its done instead of just getting out there and doing it! So i think i am just going to take this weekend off and start fresh on monday. Im going to re read my books again at night before bed and just get back to the basics. I need to clear my head and just get focused. Ill start fresh on monday with a new plan of attack and hopfully ill be ready to get in the game.

Sometimes stepping back and taking a day or so to let your head clear is the best thing you can do! I have to do it, too!
RE seems to consume my life anymore. Don't get me wrong! I love it! But you get to the point that you are just overwhelmed and when you take a short break and then come back, you will think more clearly and be much more effective. And by Monday, you will be itching to get back to it!

Thanks karen! Its like i know what i want to do and i how to do it but i just keep second guessing myself and getting scared that i am going to screw something up!
Tim,
I see your posts on this website constantly, and I can honestly say that you are one of the newbies I can see going really far. You are hard working, and always eager to learn. Most people on this site dip into this for a maximum of one month and you never hear from them again. I don't get this vibe from you.
Each and EVERY one of us investors has felt the way you are feeling right now, it's normal.
Here's a tip for you that Dean taught me. Everytime you feel like you can't do this, or you are just spinning your wheels, look back and realize everything you have accomplished. Believe it or not, you've done WAY more than the average person on this site. Just keep pushing, this business is simple, but it's not easy!

I know exactly how you feel Tim because I feel the same way. I have read, watched, listened, bought and done just about everything one can do to prepare. Now I just have to put in the work. I realize that I have been waiting for everything to line up just right before I do this. Make sure I have enough money, have enough time. At this point hell will freeze over before I have enough money and enough time so I have no choice but to do this with no money and little time. I am afraid I will screw this up and have been waiting for someone to "take me by the hand" as well. I am sick and tired of being broke and I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I rarely post but if I put this out there I will be held accountable for taking actions. I am ready to take action.
Good Luck to you Tim, we're gonna make it.

I remember you, Missy!
You posted on my journal long ago when I still wrote on there.
Word has come to me that hell has frozen! Please fill out the rest of your bio so that if I MUST come take you by the hand I can set my GPS. (OK, I am not real techy but I can read the heck out of a road map!)
