converting a hospital to an apartment complex

converting a hospital to an apartment complex

I'm looking at a property for sale that is a functioning hospital.
It was renovated less than 10 years ago.
It has 325,000 sq ft. and there's an additional 1.64 acres that comes with it.
Do you think,if i acquired this, that it would be best used as an apartment complex? Or should I consider converting it to a really huge house?
Other options include leaving it as a hospital.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

what's the zoning?

what's the zoning? Probably do better as an assisted living facility.

I'm going to the zoning

I'm going to the zoning office tomorrow morning to find out.
The property is huge! They are asking $2.9 million for it.
The city's police station is directly behind it, a fire station is around the corner, the main hospital is right across the street from it. It's 30 seconds from hwy 287,and 20 seconds from a park.
There is an assisted living facility right down the road from it, but that place is tiny compared to this property. That might be a good idea, thanks TRSD

so many options

Hi Michael,

What a great opportunity you have here!!! I have a few suggestions for this place:

1. Movie theater complex
2. Indoor year round swap meet
3. Youth Facility like a YMCA
4. Indoor skate park or adventure business
5. International food market/store

The options are endless. Let us know what you do with it.

Thanks,
Shah
