When measuring

When measuring

I found out today that when you measure you should start at the 2" mark and minus 1" in your measurements. It seems that the metal end is not always on from tip to the one inch measure, so better start at 2 inch. I was putting up blinds and couldn't figure out why until much later why the cut was coming out wrong. Seems some people already know this!

Measure Twice, cut once. Use the same measuring device to measure and cut! You could even measure what the length of that first inch actually is and deduct or add that to your measurement.

Just having a little fun. Hey were those blinds in a rehab project?

Rehab estimating

I saw a competitor using software that calculates the price of materials required in rehab projects based on the measurement inputted into the system. Does anyone know what that software is and how to acquire it?
