Get three (or more)bids from reputable contractors. Contractors you pre qualify doing your due diligence on selecting contractors. Make sure they bid on the exact work and identical materials. From the same scope of work.

A Structural Engineer can tell you if the property is structurally sound and if not, what needs to be done to fix the issue. Most, but not all will refer you to a company that does the structural repair. Some have their own company.

A contractor is the guy that does the general rehab/remodel work. Usually you will hire a General Contractor or GC to run your project.
