some of my friends uses industries instead of enterprises or properties. I dont know about the tax bracket and maybe u need to ask your accountant. I am sure they can explain this to you. Good luck !

Hello. My first question is do you have an LLC or Inc? I know in CT, it doesn't matter what you call your business provided no one else has the same business name, and I can't see it being any different anywhere else in the US, but you never know.
You can also have an llc under your name and then use a dba name as well,,I would check with an accountant like Paul said or check with a lawyer..
also you can call the secretary of state's office in your state and ask them, they will give you free advice.
good luck.
What doesn't kill me,,makes me stronger!
I live in central Maine and am just getting started. Are there any benefits of having my wife and 51% and I 40%? Should the business be and LLC or some other BDA corp

There is less liability with having an LLC. Most people that have a DBA will have personal libility. In otherwards as a DBA your own personal assets could be attached where as with an LLC only the companies assets are attached. An example - a tenant falls on your property and sues. If you have an LLC only the LLC assets come in to play, with a DBA your company and personal assets come into play. In order to proptect your personal assets like the home you live in use an LLC and not a DBA.
In regards to the name you use the tax bracket does not come into play for "enterprise". I do caution however that in the business world "enterprise" sometimes has a negative stigma attached to it. You would be better off with "company" or "properties".
Hope this helps,
Kat
it does thanks
