what do you think is better to buy online or in-person?

I live in Stanislaus County in California, my county only does it in-person, but the county below me Merced County does only online thru bid4assets.com

I purchase One this year, in Stanislaus County, then quickly flipped to another investor for a nice $4k profit, because I did not wanted to wait for the redemption period to expire. I just never done tax deed purchase online before.

Great Site

That is a very cool site. I love the $1 homes section but you have to pay attention to what the final in cost will be as it will not be a $1. Also, a lot them require you sent them $500 or $1000 within 24-48 hours, that makes me nervous being internet, I think I would be more likely to sent it to a local escrow company. That's my 2 cents worth

thanks for your reply

I have not played with that website, but I will do more research and ask more questions to get a better idea of their process.

thanks

The $1 dollar properties just mean that it is a $1 no reserve. so that means the bids start at a dollar and go up from there. So that is why you might end up paying more for the properties because you will have to bid against other people.

Hope that helps.

thanks for update

bidding wars??? not sure if I am ready for this

Hahaha. Dont worry about those that much then. That would be better situation when you are going to be buying something for yourself to keep.
If you are planning on wholesaling then that is not going to be the best route.
So just be aware of those auctions but dont really mess with them right now.

let us know if you have questions.

Eric
