Can't something be done about 'guest blogs'

Can't something be done about 'guest blogs'

Is it just me or do other members find the 'guest blogs' distracting and that they have absolutely nothing to do with this website or real estate in general?

Honestly, what do the top lace wigs and something called Neuro3x have to do with anything discussed here?

Can't you just make it so these blogs can't be posted unless they have signed up as a member or delete these fake accounts if they are signed up?

It makes the site appear unprofessional and could be confusing to new members.

That's my rant and my biggest pet peeve about this website.

It is spam and when I mention it

others on here say they don't see it, but I know they are pulling my leg. It is very rampant lately!

The very first rule of the

The very first rule of the website does state:

    1) NO ADVERTISING: This is a zero tolerance rule! Advertising, soliciting members to contact you, inquiring about non-DG related products, recommending non-DG or unapproved products or services is not allowed. Blatant advertising or spamming will result in a instant ban. Inadvertently breaking this rule will get you warned, but probably not more than once."

I know that it comes from people using automated software to submit that stuff but I also know that reCAPTCHA script can stop a lot of it.

Just a thought.

Yeah the captcha is in place but not stopping it, but

only being a nuisance to regular users.

There are different types of

There are different types of reCAPTCHA. The reCAPTCHA used on this site is only designed to hide email addresses in a post. It is not scripted to stop robots from posting blogs. If they were using the reCAPTCHA I'm talking about you would have to enter in the reCAPTCHA code every time you posted something versus just clicking a submit button. I used to build websites a few years back, mostly for local churches, a few of my friends and myself.

Thank you

I did not know that! Yes, we need something!

CAPTCHA

Having to enter a CAPTCHA each time when posting would be very cumbersome.
