OfflineReady to go in 2010!! I am looking for buyers who invest in Oregon. My advice to any newbies is to join your local real estate investment club and NETWORK! This was not impressed upon me as being very important to your investment career, so I'm only sorry that I didn't do this earlier.
If anyone is rehabbing a place in the Portland Metro area, I also have a residential general contractor license and provide special pricing for fellow investors to help keep their costs down.

Past history:
In March 2009, I lost my job (work-force reduction) as a commercial architect after 20 years. Over the past 6 years, my wife and I were part time fix-n-flip investors doing about 2 per year. This was to allow us to save $$$ and perform the work ourselves. We decided to keep the last one as a rental because we found a great tenant before we could sell it. We also purchased a 4-plex a couple of years ago. It only takes 2 units to pay for our expenses which is awesome! Since our RE investments have been the saving grace over this past year, I decided in October 2009 to join Dean's Real Estate Academy. It has been a slow process, but I have a more motivated focus in 2010 and am looking forward to becoming a full time RE Investor.
