OfflineI'm 43 and a father of 2 (15 and 20) and married 21 years. As a young man my mother, a real estate agent and interior decorator, paid for me to go to real estate school. She and some of her collegues were part of a buying coop. They would find good deals, pull their cash and skills together to refurbish the home and resell them. I learned early on that there was money to be made in real estate however as a young (and foolish) youth, I did not take the school seriously and never really pursued it further. Later on I decided to get into the game and tried to establish the same model with some friends and fellow investors but it fell through and again, I didn't persue it. To make a long story short, my dream is to really commit to real estate investing as I know there is money to be made however since I was a young man, life has happened. Ive got kids in college and 9-5 good paycheck. After nearly 20 years on the IT field, I'm ready to get on to the next part of my life and start following this dream of mine. My wife is supportive but has heard me talk about it for years and I'm sure she's not convinced this time either. I hope to surprise her. Help me keep my motivation and commitment fellow investors.
