The agent we had, my suspicion, has black listed us. I say this because every time we get an agent, they quit. I don't understand and this has become very frustrating to me because I really want to succeed. Please I need to know what to do to go on my own without an agent. I just noticed your comment and wanted to say thank you. I just want to wholesale now because every agent we have spoken to have given us a song and dance since the first one. I rather do this myself, but don't know how and that's where is becomes frustrating to me. I have looked on this site and still don't understand. Thank you again.

Being a licensed agent myself and investor..there can be several reasons why it seem that an agent may not stick around. However, I dont know the complete situation I would hope an agent dont call others bad mouthing you for any reason.
Several things id check myself for.
1. Am I wasting the agents time
2. Are my offers reasonable.
3. Id take the next agent out to coffee or Subway, or at least give them a gift card of $20 from time to time, to let them know how you appriecate their time.

I just noticed this comment and wanted to say thank you for your imput. The one we had: Never wanted to meet, even though we made many attempts to meet. Explained the process before we decided to work together. We found out she wasn't putting the offers in and they were the methods Dean and Matt have used. She just quit talking to us one day and whenever we meet or talk to another agent, it goes good with the face to face and then we get an email or phone call telling us they can't work with us. This is why I say blacklisted. Even the agents at the REA meetings aren't willing to help. One refferred me to one and she never followed up with her end of what we spoke about. Because of this, I want to do it without them but don't know how. I want to wholesale but don't understand the process. Had two buyers but had to let them go because I felt I was wasting their and my time. Also, what is the deal with being both, is it better that way and what are the ins and outs of it? We are thinking of becoming agents.

I hope what I'm going to say will help. Consider this, you are in control. "Interview" the REA's and give them the impression that they are trying to earn YOUR business. There are thousands of them out there. Let them come to you. It is a little known fact that you can do this business without a REA. Keep your eyes/ears open though and keep moving. Try this:
1-Get as much REI info as you can (this site, books, tapes, video's, etc). Get a copy of Dean's book.
2-Grow your network of profesionals through social media (Linkedin, local REI clubs, etc). On this site is a good start.
3-Setup your profile EVERYWHERE you can (this site, Linkedin, eBay, Google, etc).

I just seen there were comments on my last blog and wanted to say thank you for the support. I have interviewed and it seems to go well. This is since the one I had, and then I get an email or call stating they can't take on the work load. Now, no one will talk to me and I have gotten very upset about this. So now I need the steps to do this without one, but really don't know how to.
