Ok, so yesterday I was wondering how to set a goal for a year backwards when I don't know what I'll be doing next week. I still don't know.
That said, I continue to press on. I am pleased by what I have read tonight in the book. Dean was cool enough to lay out the motivation and inspirational stuff up front then fess up to it... with good reason.
What I read tonight is how to go about finding a real estate agent. Matt Larson lays it out very nicely. I expect to get some agents who won't be so kind. They just wrong mental attitude for me to work with. The key is to find the right agent or agents.
Three action items:
1. Order business cards
2. Get a dedicated phone and voicemail
3. Rewrite Matt's script and practice it
Another FEAR-buster coming up
Like some have said, no offers, no deal! That 25/1 ratio, combined with making offers as low as the formula keeps producing, have me somewhat paralyzed. Here are a few bits of False Evidence Appearing Real (FEAR) to me right now: I'm wondering if the realtor will pass those low offers on and/or stay with me after I propose them; I'm wondering if the investors on my list will be there as long as it takes me to get a bite from a seller and get it "locked up;" and I'm wondering whether an investor would buy the deal once I have it locked up - and what I would do if I had to back out and start again.... There are probably other subconscious concerns, but whatever they are, something somewhere will get me past them or through them and over the edge. Something will soon evaporate those False bits of Evidence that are Appearing Real and I will have learned from the fears --- M-M-M!
