Love is with you

To everyone who lost so much, hold on. Help is coming. You made it through the worst storm in a century, you're alive. There's a reason for that. I can only imagine how hard it is to lose all you own. If you can, find comfort in the fact that you still have the most precious thing of all, your life. Love and compassion and prayers are here for you every day as you move forward and start over. Much love to you.

Thank you, Dean, for providing this way for us to help. I so appreciate this about you - you're so real and caring, so much more than just a real estate expert.

Superstorm Sandy Victims

My heart goes out to each and everyone of you as I have been in your shoes back in the NoName Storm of 93. I know what it is to loose your home and all your belongings. But tomorrow will be better, and I know you will pull through. Just stay strong, keep your family close and pray, as I will for you and I know that Heavenly Father will bring you through and you will be stronger in the end. GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU. This is my prayer.

Hurricane Sandy

I know this is a very dark and difficult time for you folks who went through this devastating time in your life. Please know that you will get through this unspeakable/unbelievable event and know that the sun will shine once again for you even though it may not seem so at this time. God bless you and know that my prayers and thoughts are with you. Thank you Dean for allowing me this opportunity to express my thoughts.

Keeping you in my prayers

All those suffering as a result of Sandy are in my prayers. God is the ultimate answer to all of life's problems, great or small. Could it be that God is working thru the DG family to bring some form of relief? I choose to believe so. God bless.

Jersey Girl

Hey Dean,
Thanks so much for doing this! I grew central Jersey near Sandy Hook and spent many summer nights on the boardwalks at Seaside and Asbury. We still have friends, family and co-workers that are still without power and struggling to get by. My heart breaks for those who lost everythign in the storm and I send them healing prayers and love.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of Sandy. May you have the spiritual strength of JOB to carry on. We know it is tough for you right now having gone through similar circumstances with Hurricane Hugo back in 1989. Work through it one day at a time. This too shall pass and in time the scars do heal. God bless you.

Dean, thank you for being so generous to them. Your kindness is truly a blessing to some you will never meet, but the all-knowing one will recognize it and in kind bless and yours.

Warm wishes on those cold nights

The people here on Long Island are a unique bunch. We are all affected by the Devastating Storm "Sandy", either by lose of power or Total loss of the Home. What's so great and touching about the people here, is that we can recognize some other family across town or across the street may be worse off....and are Always willing to work together to help "Bail Out", clean out or cut out fallen trees for our friends and neighbors as needed. I feel blessed that I still have a house to rest my head at night, and heat and hot water....I can see up close how people are suffering. Thank you Dean for you support and your passion to reach out and rally your DG family to help the many families of my community. Together we will rise up again, dig out and rebuild better than before, Together....as one "Strong Island"

Help Sandy people!

Sandy Devastation

I am so proud of our friends in the northeast who weathered this devastating storm and are already out there rebuilding their lives and communities. Seeing the damage and destruction on the news and the impact on families was heart wrenching but then seeing the search and rescue efforts and actions of local first responders, officials and volunteers was up-lifing and inspiring. Such resilience will continue to carry you through this recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you, your families and communities!

Warms my heart

Being a Jersey native I thank you all for the love and support you are showing. My immediate family didnt suffer any hardships because of our near Canada location due to being a Military family...but we have many loved ones and friends back home who have. They can use as much financial support as possible.

Great Weekly Wisdom

Thank you, Dean, for giving us the opportunity to assist in the recovery efforts on the east coast. We are so fortunate to live in an area where disasters of the magnitude of Sandy seldom occur--dust storms and fires are our demons. If we reach your goal, we will have helped in so many ways. Thank you again for the chance to play a role in this effort.

Hang in there people!

rickhelm's picture

It is hard to see the silver lining when you've lost everything. It is there. It is times like these when the humanity in all of us rises up and shows itself in so many positive ways. It is unfortunate that it takes a tremendous catastrophic event to make people see what is truly important. Focus on what you still have. Hang tough and years later you may actually be able to be thankful in some way for what has happened.
We are praying for you all.

Just keep going
