OfflineThis may seem odd, but while browsing a few threads, I noticed one commonality between myself and a few others posters. We are homemakers, SAHMs with husbands who are not "backing us" on our RE venture. Now, I know there must be others. I'll bet there are some guys out there whose wives aren't too keen on this RE game, huh? I thought we could start an ongoing thread to support each other. I know I have had to do my first deal with no help monetarily from my hubby. Also, he doesn't want to hear much about it either. AND he gets "jealous" of my time. For instance, if I'm at Lowe's picking up a sink or something, he's mad because I'm not home cooking dinner yet! Or (like tonight) if I'm on the computer, he wants to know why I'm not doing laundry! HA! Wouldn't be doing that even if I WASN'T on here right now! I know (at least I hope) that after he sees what I can actually DO with REI, then he'll be on board. I don't need his money, just a little support. Maybe for him to watch the kids sometimes while I'm at the property without having to fuss so much about it! 
Anyway, if there are any other mothers/wives or fathers/husbands, etc. out there who don't have their significant other's help/suppport/encouragement, let us have a place to VENT and support each other!!!!

I could pull so many posts on this subject from the last few months. It's actually heartbreaking to me to hear some of the stories. Believe me you are not alone. All levels of non-support.
BUT in every case, I do believe when the non-supportive "other" sees first-hand the success of their spouse, they can't help but appreciate the benefit that it brings to their family. So we just have to keep our focus and BELIEVE in it ourselves and keep pushing on until it comes to pass.

There are others on here that are single and have NO spouse or support from their family. Loners, like me
and many others on here. That's why I joined in the first place to find support from others who are motivated but don't have anyone around them to keep them going. I thrive off of others that are on the same page as I am regarding rei. I can't take being around negative people for too long, it used to bring me down, now it just irritates me... LOL! But I remind myself that they're speaking out of ignorance. We have specialized knowledge that we've applied and seen the results, that's what keeps me going! Well, that and Rina!

Oh brother, I double posted so I'm going to change this to another comment. Many other stay at home moms come on here after the hubby has gone to bed to get their batteries charged. So anytime you need a charge come and join us here. There's always someone on.
