PropTrend Problem

PropTrend Problem

Is anyone having trouble with PropTrend today? 5-13-2010 As I was in the middle of using it, everything went blank and it asked me for my User ID. I've never had to log into my software and I wanted to see if anyone else has the same issue.

prop trend

When I started my prop trend I had to load an update then it gave me a code to enter. So far I don't like the upgrade or I don't know how to use it right yet. I hope this will help you.

Steve.

Called customer service

I just called the Customer Service line for Prop Trend and they helped me out good people there. The # is 888-215-6931.

You mean that isn't normal?

Mine goes off about every 20 minutes or so and I need to put in the code that was with the software. I have it memorized I've had to put it in so many times. Is this not supposed to happen?

It works for now

The User ID was the key code I had to input when it updated. I put it in a few weeks ago when the update went into effect and it all of a sudden did it again. It works now, but I wish the software would have stayed the way it was before. It was a lot more user friendly than this one is.

Well,

Since we're critiquing it, hopefully someone who has influence will read this. Laughing out loud

It would be nice if a property would show if it was currently listed on the MLS, either by linking up to www.redfin.com, www.realtor.com, www.homegain.com or www.trulia.com (or all, because what one is missing the other might have).

Would also be nice if there was a map to see where the comps are, and if it would allow you to select the comps most relevant to the home to prepare the reports. Also, the comps are outdated; if it hooked up to www.redfin.com, the comps are updated within days of sale.

These upgrades would really improve the program significantly!

Are you a mind reader, I was thinking the same thing. There are some Guru's who are putting out software that does exactly what you said. Freedom $oft is the one I've been hearing about but they're expensive.

Prop Trend

I will have to say I liked the old way also. I will just have to use this new way, more to find all the info I want. It is tuff on old dogs trying to keep up with all the changes for the better.

Steve.

when is an upgrade not an upgrade

I'm so not happy with it now. I've had the problems with the code issues and haven't used it since. It was something I used quite a bit. Now not so much. Can we please have the old system back?

The old way was better I am

The old way was better

I am also having problems with the new one.

They dont have alot of the tools it did before.

Off topic

Have you noticed everyone's lost their bronze medals? Weird! Just an off topic observation.

Since I didn't use the old version too much, I don't know what I'm missing. Could be a good thing I guess. Smiling I was a new student and had used it 4 or 5 times before the update.

If you figure in the cost of Proptrend, its up there as well; probably close to the $1500- $2K range, because if you break down the academy cost with and without it, its about 2K more to include it. (at least mine was)

PropTrend

I personally have never used the old version, but I have not had any problems with it blanking out on its own. I have noticed a few peculiarities. When you first set it up you need to add the code key. If you close by the logout button, then you will have to enter the code key again. But you can close out by the X in the right corner on windows and the left corner on a MAC. Then you won't have to re-enter the code key.

Also I believe, PropTrend retrieves info from online county records. You can type any city and state and it will retrieve all information about any property in any kind of foreclosure process recorded by the county with newest one first. This is a fantastic accomplishment. Regarding MLSs, in a small state there could be 3 or four MLS groups. I can't imagine how many MLS groups would be in say, California. I can type a MLS# in Hawaii and come up with one address and the same number in California and come up with a completely different address. So give PropTrend credit for their programming. Maybe in the future the MLS will be added. But most definitely, PropTrend should not blank out on the screen, but that more than likely is not the program, but maybe your computer setup. PropTrend is internet based, so it queries the WWW. I hope some of this helps. Kind of boring, except for the queries.

I logged in to make this my first post, but did a search to see if others had. So I am showing support, I would like this too.

Another I would like is to simply put in the MLS ID # and have protrend pull all the info. I have some addresses that it can not locate, nor can google maps, correctly. But the MLS has it spot on.

Thank you
Matt
