Offlinewas just wondering if anyone had a good idea on how to locate a reputable attorney or someone that will shoot straight with me when I ask them how much money it would cost to draw up a contract and contract assigning legalities. I haven't ever dealt with an attorney before in my lifetime. Thanks for your reply

I found one on craigslist with the help of someone on here...If you go to legal services and search in there, or if you post an ad in the legal section that you are looking for an attorney that deals with real estate, you may find someone there...

Talk to your friends and family that live in your area. The best way to find an honest attorney is to ask around and see what peoples personal experiences were.

I would ask my trusted realtor friend for the names of three attorney's and then I would meet them in person. A realtor could tell you easily who will be able to keep things in order. Mainly because they want to get their commision on time from closing's. But all in all I would still make it my business to meet them face to face since it's a relationship you hopefully will have for many transactions. Title company's , mortgage brokers, also is a another way. These are people who need each other to sometimes make it all happen. Continued success...........Lubertha
