Yeah, I was trying to get

Yeah, I was trying to get there, but things kind of fell through due to a variety of obstacles that forced me to think a little further out of the box than I had originally planned...

But really? I think watching from home turned out to be better than I had Dreamed! The tech had a few glitches, true, but nothing that can't be re-watched later, and really? It performed fantastically, given that this was the first time they've used it for any prolonged period of time! FURTHER, I was able to get up at 8 AM instead of being forced out of bed at 6 AM... (I am NOT a "Morning" person, by a long shot!) I also didn't have to worry about a dog-sitter, or packing clothes, traveling, wear and tear on my car, traffic, or trying to eat healthy on the road!

MIND you, I still want to go next year! Because as cool as the tech is, there's still nothing that can beat actually BEING there, IN that energy field created by a couple hundred like-minded folks.

I got 3 more realtors that also invest on my list today,i found 7 props i'm researching and running numbers on. I am a success club member and i am doing my "Homework" that my mentor gave me and getting ready for our next meeting on wednesday.

I have paperwork from my first realtor to print, sign and get back to him, (DANG but there's a lot of that stuff! I hope I don't get writer's cramp! ROFL!) And I want to get him another three offers this afternoon.

Glad to have you here! May I ask where you are investing?

OK, Last things first, Don't. Don't feel like "You're so far behind" cause
A) It's not a race (except- MAYBE- with yourself!) and
B) there are people starting every day and
C) Look at how far you've come from where you were!

NOW, about the question on your buyers list, I just want to tell you that I am NOT one of the Coaches, but I am working on starting my list by calling the local "For Rent" ads in the paper, and signs on the street, to see if those landlords are buying or selling units right now.

I'm SURE there is a way to set up an automated system to do just exactly what you are talking about, to capture addresses and info, and I would suggest calling the Success Academy to talk to them about it, they have resources I can only dream about right now. (And if you aren't part of the Academy, WHY not? It's worth EVERY LAST Penny to have those coaches there to ask about EVERYTHING.)


Buyers list!!

Charles, keep it simple. Go to Google Maps and Craigs list and type in your city, town or county, then type in "WE BUY HOUSES" and hit search. You will get numerous leads. Then start calling the leads and say "I saw your add on google that said you buy houses, is that right" then tell them that you are a property wholesaler that can bring them great deals and get their contact info. and investment criteria. There's your buyers list.

Thank you for the response. I am in MASS. I love real estate. I had 5 properties before. 3 in my name and I took on a partner for the other 2. Then my life took a turn with a huge lawsuit and a bad divorce. That was a while ago, and now its time to build another empire. I am in the process of re building my credit and I took on another business partner with great credit. However, I love the concept of wholesaling. Its brillant! But new to me. I never used this strategy of investing, but its going to be the avenue we pursue for the first 6-months. Thats why I am trying to think like a marketer. I want leads to pursue me.

Thanks for writing back and nice to meet you! I am investing in the western part of Mass. I love real estate. About 8-10 years ago, I owned 5-properties. 3 in my name and I took on a partner because I was over extended for the other 2. The times have changed and so have the strategies. I am trying to do wholesaling. This strategy is all new to me, but very exciting. As far as going the academy, I am out of work for the time being (waiting for back surgery) so I need to be smart on how I spend my money. My wife and I just had our first child and she is on maturnity leave and short term stopped a month ago. She goes back to work next week. Now, I am not saying the academy is not worth every penny, but I still need to pay the bills and put food on the table. I am hoping soon! For the time, I need to learn quick and implement even quicker what I learn through here, books, prior experience, networking, and the Edge.
Hopefully this all makes sense and I really want to apologize in advance if I sound like I am crying at you. Everyone has a situation and I am trying to stay positive and surround myself with other like-minded folks.
Anyways, how is everything going with you? Any thoughts about the Edge?

Oh, I am RIGHT there with

Oh, I am RIGHT there with you! The Academy folks were nice enough to give me a payment plan, so that helped a LOT. But Still- I hear where you're coming from, I left my job with the State a few months ago, because that J.O.B. was gonna either take my life, or my soul- if not BOTH. I've been living off the "Retirement" fund that I stripped out, and I'm down to the last couple of months of savings- So I better get my fluffy little tail MOVING! I hope you at least have a copy of Dean's latest book? The bright yellow one in the top header of the pages? Yeah, small, but powerful, very concise and to the point. And YES, the positive attitude is really an important part! Laughing out loud

The EDGE? Was flat-out INCREDIBLE. I was able to watch online, and being able to "Be" there, even though it was completely sold out a month ago? FANTASTIC. OK, Yeah, there were a few glitches, first-time tech always has its share of bugs.
BUT I'll be able to watch again later this week when I get my brain to settle down, and I decide what I want/need to go back and review.

Heck, I've done more today than all last week combined!
I've printed out all the "For Rent" ads for the local online paper so I can call the landlords/property managers tomorrow and see if any of them are buying or selling. I've posted three more "Buyers" ads to Craigslist. I called the Academy Coaches earlier today with a couple of Questions, and I've printed out the offer paperwork that I need to get back to my current realtor after I sign it. I've also re-posted my "Finding a realtor" ads, as Matt Larson said we should work with more than one Realtor in order to move faster.

Keep up the good work Susan. You are so right about networking. As a coach for Dean I see the good students do who are out working and meeting others.

Thank you, Roy! Laughing out loud I'm re-watching Joe Jurek right now, hoping to glean a few more important bits about calling Property managers and what to say to them, so they will pass along my information to their clients.

I'm currently planning on driving around a couple of neighborhoods tomorrow so I can write down the "For rent" addresses and phone numbers, and looking for garage sales on Saturday!

What's everyone else doing today to move forward?


Edge Live!! We are in Eastern PA

My husband was able to go to the Edge in AZ. I am learning from him and going to watch the DVD. He took so much away from that weekend and is going over his notes with me. We are plugging away step by exact step. Im planning on going next year. We are waiting to hear on an offer next week to be excepted. I just love this DG family with the support and learning from each and everyone their own techniques.

Trying to connect in Oregon

Hi I'm a newbie on the forum and with the DG Family. I haven't made any deals yet but I've got quite a buyer's list and am working with a Broker who is top notch on sending me whatever I want or need.
What I am looking for is there someone in the Oregon area that would be willing to team up maybe or just plain correspond back and forth? I've heard only one person from the Portland area. I am looking for people from maybe Salem, Oregon whom wouldn't mind setting up a team or something? Would love some connections here! That would be awesome! All of you guys are great!!!!
