How much for RE license

on where you go to take the FL real estate licensing course. I can't remember price exactly; I took my FL Real estate SA (Sales associate) license course through Pensacola Junior College. Course was under $300 then I had to pay for State exam that was under $100 and after I passed the State exam, I also had to pay for MLS dues that was under $600 to get the Supra Key and access the MLS for Pensacola Real Estate Commission. I believe you would also have to pay MLS dues to access the Gulf Breeze MLS as well if you want to do that.

It's not just the state license fees that you have to be concerned with. There are many other costs, including testing charges, fingerprinting charges, the courses one takes, association dues, etc. And then, after that, you have all of your costs of selling a house before you can even get your first commission check. I don't mean to discourage you, but just make sure you tally the costs and plan for them ahead of time. I kinda' wish I had done some Dean type of deals first to help cover my costs of getting the "status" of becoming a licensed real estate salesperson and Realtor.

thanks but money isn't a problem with that. my wife is the one getting it and shes approved for a pel grant to cover it. she went to the finacial aide people today and talked to them so shes good. thank you for the advise though!

only covers financial aid for whatever school she decides to go too. Not association fees (MLS dues), advertising costs (when she gets her first listing) and so on. Depending on which Brokerage she signs on with; she maybe able to get reimburse her tuition.

Thanks! We have talked to some people and figured it out. And your right about the pell grant. But shes gets whats left over from the pell grant and she'll use that to cover her additional fees. THats why I said shes good. Thank you though!
