OfflineSo I have everything in order to purchase my first investment, but I am having alot of trouble finding my first one.
I have spoken to multiple agents who have said they will call with anything good. But nada.
I keep running through Zillow, but have yet to find anything worth investing in. Most seem to be fixer uppers priced right in line with sorrounding homes.
Can I get some tips on how you guys have found good investment properties.

If you can't find anything in your area you might have to go outside of it like Matt did. I know investors in one city are investing in a totally different city because the market's hot and they have a team in place. Hope this helps!

Can I ask where specifically you are looking to find the HUD or VA listings? Is it on the ForclosureAlert web site? Or on a .gov site?
Elane, I think you may be right. There is pretty fierce competition in my target market. I may have to expand my search.

This link will take you to the HUD site. Go the the obtion to find your state. Then the easiest way is to ask to see properties by city. There are some good deals there.
I haven't made my first deal yet either, but I keep trying. I do think one of the strategies Dean teaches will work in ANY area.
