Hey Everybody,
Just wanted to tell you how I found my Realtors. I started off by doing a google search on Realtors'. I took down 17 e-mail addresses and put together an e-mail that was straight forward. I wrote that I was looking for a professional, open minded, and create Realtor, then I went on to explain that I wanted to assign properties and bird dog. I received one response from a Realtor/Broker who liked the idea.
I found my second Realtor on craigslist. I was looking for real estate lawyers' and saw an add posted from a paralegal. I left a message and to my surprise I received a call in a few days. It turns out that she was also a Realtor as well. I quickly arranged to meet with her and the meeting lasted for an hour and a half. I was so pleased with the out come because she not only wants to work with me but, she's agreed to be my mentor.
I must admit that contacting Lawyers' and Realtors' was intimidating for me because, it took me out of my comfort zone. However, I made this move forward because, I was fed up with the direction that my life was going in. I had to become sick and tired of being sick and tired in order to try. So keep that in mind if you feel this way too!

I’m just getting started myself.
It is great to see others having success by simply following the information presented in the books and on this site. This is the first time I have ever been able to actually talk to and ask questions with someone from a Success story that I have read about or seen on TV.
Dean and his students really have done and keep doing great things for us. This site is an awesome resource!
I hope you all are having as much fun as I am and good luck!
Have a great day!
Mark
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your reply and pat on the back. I am glad that you are inspired and motivated. My advice to you would be to keep learning from this site and reach out to people that are connected to real estate in your town. I find that this site is my vehicle and my Realtor/Mentor is my fuel. My only job is to have the will to drive the vehicle and the rest falls into place. Stay focused and keep at it.

I too am fairly new to this and have been trying to find a few realtors who are willing to even listen to what I have to offer. I did find a Realtor/ Broker who AI will be meeting with this week. I met her while she was signing papers selling a house to one of my co-workers. So far this past year I've "lost my place" and forgot how much I need to get out of the rut I've been in(working 45+ hrs/wk)and this site is helping me to regain my place by setting goals, scheduling my time and taking te steps I need to take to get and keep moving forewards in my investing. Thanks to all who participate here. I need to and will do the same.
I found my first real estate agent simply by calling on a property that I was interested in walking through and it happened to be listed through an agent. I met with the agent and went through the property that she was showing and then after words, spent some time with her asking her questions to qualify her as a real estate agent that I would want on my Power Team. One of the first and I feel most important questions was if she had any experience working with real estate investors or if her scope was simply working as a retail listing agent. She said that she had some experience with real estate investors so this led me into asking her more questions. I asked her to share a few examples of some deals that she did with the investors and she was more than happy to share a few of her deals that she helped facilitate. Real Estate Agents are such a valuable part of your team and finding the right one will make you so much more money on your deals because they are on the same page as you are. So don’t be afraid to ask questions. Doing your research will help you to maximize your profits. Good luck!
I hope that everything works with your new realtor. Just keep working on your big and small real estate goals. Each goal achieved will motivate you to continue. It was the bleak direction of my life that pushed me to do more in real estate. I am cheering for you.
Good Luck,
K.W.
Thanks for the uplifting and educational words of wisdom. I have set 3 appointments to meet with a few REAs and also made a lunch meeting with another soon to be Team member(broker)this week. I am thinking of where I am and where I should've been by now. I'm on the late show now but comming to prime time soon! Thanks again and good luck to you guys too.
Outstanding move forward. I'll be calling around tomorrow for the same thing, to include a lawyer. I agree with the others, this site is the bomb! The support and information shared is the best! I'll keep everyone posted on my progress.

I just met with one REA today and he was telling me that it would be unethical for him to get involved with any deals once another REA has been conacted and he could get written up for ethic violation. I asked if it would be ok if maybe he was involved on the buyers side and he said possibly yes, but then we never had this conversation( it was about a property I have an offer in on to re-assign), and he would chek into this property. He did mention that now its harder and takes much longer to get financing for those in need - more than 60 days. So with that being said, I should anticipate closing on a property in no less than that time and expect even longer just to be sure. I'm not sure if this is the case for all transactions but I do have a meeting tomorrow with a broker to see what he can do for me. Thanks for the support, hope all goes well for all of you! Chat again later.
I guess after some conversations w/3 REAs I have to press onward to find someone else. I heard it gets frustrating trying to find one who will work with some of our methods, but now I actually "feel" the frustration and intimidation. I cannot and will not be held back by this obstacle. I will contiue to interview and call until I find an agent who meets my needs. Anyone in NW Wisconsin have any friends that could assist (I'm in the Eau Claire/ Chippewa Falls area} please let me know. I will be meeting another agent on Monday and hope for the best. Thanks!
You'll find a lot of Realtors who will be motivated & say all the right things in the beggining & after a month goes by, they seem to fade away, if you haven't landed a deal yet. Keep in mind you have to share the vision with them & let them know once you get some money in your pocket & you have all your marketing in place, you'll probably only need 2 leads out of the 50 you get a month & the rest could be possible listings for them, as you can refer those leads to your Realtor.
If you loose your Realtor, don't hesitate & find another until that Investor friendly Realtor shows up. Same for Private Money. Keep searching until...
I'm on my 7th Realtor & I have the Private funds in place. Just Keep pushing till you find the one that will help break you through the ice...

Good job. I am sure it feels good after making the calls? By taking action, you will get results.
